| The POLDAN Wooden Products
Establishment in Sławno began production on the 20th of
October 1980.
In the beginning a few score cubic metres of wood were
processed in a month, mainly panelling was produced.
The enterprise is situated on the main Gdańsk-Szczecin
road in an area with an abundance of high quality raw material in
the form of coniferous timber, and also the need for sawn timber
and glue laminated beams constituted the basis for the decision
to develop the enterprise.
At the turn of 1989 / 90 after building a new production
hall and drying chambers, fruitful cooperation with the Danes began,
from which the current name of the enterprise was taken - POLDAN.
Actually testimony to the vigour of POLDAN Wooden
Products Enterprise is the construction of a new establishment in
Sławsk, and also among other reasons that 350 employees are employed
and annually at least 80 thousand square metres of raw material
sawn wood are processed.
Coniferous and deciduous timber is processed and not only
to produce sawn wood of the highest quality (class I and II).
Our products are:
- glued angled window bars and triple glue-laminated doors
- furniture from solid wood
- oak, beech and pine cabinet panels.
For gluing doors we apply glue with great adhesion
and endurance, which is confirmed by the results of testing by the
Central Research and Development Institution of the Building Carpentry
Industry. The results state that semi finished products from glue-laminated
wood fulfil the durability criteria of the Technical Approbation
Standard ITB no. AT-15-2948/00.
All our products bear the international FSC certificate.
We are pleased to state that our production lines
are equipped with the newest computer guided machines. The high
degree of automation of the production line reduces the strain of
work for those employees operating the line and also increases the
quality of our products.
Apart from domestic customers our products are sold
to Italy, France, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Belgium, Holland and
Great Britain.
